The Orlando Modern Quilt Guild had a color challenge where each member was given the same palette of fabric from Painter’s Palette solids, and we could add one solid color of our own.  I added black and played around with these improv bowl shapes.  This small quilt is about 90% pieced using difference techniques, and 10% appliqued  where I was joining the bowls to the background at the bottom.  Machine quilted with metallic thread.
