Artist's Bio
Quilter based in Orlando, Florida
Sarah is a fourth-generation quilter who began by learning the traditional forms of quilting but was influenced in the expansion of the Modern Quilting Movement which began in the early 2000s. Her work has been in explorations of traditional quilting forms in a modern format, and also in the style of improvisational piecing. She is the winner of the Quilting Excellence Award at QuiltCon 2019.
She is a Past President of the Orlando Modern Quilt Guild, a sewing instructor, and also an Ambassador for The 70273 Project. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, both from Wayne State University in Detroit.
